"Paper lanterns for Cancer"
During the JV Volleyball tournament DBGS and DHS will organize a paper lantern for cancer campaign as it is cancer awareness month. Students can buy the paper bags from the lunch room on Monday-Wednesday, SR15 a bag, decorate it and return it to Mirriam Oloriegbe and Ayoub Hajji
The money we raise by selling the bags will be donated to a cancer charity, Below is an example of what we want to create.
The DHAMUN team will be conducting its first UN day to celebrate the anniversary of the entry into force of the UN Charter in 1945. This day will be celebrated on Wednesday, the 24th of October, we want everyone to celebrate the UN and its commitment to global unity! This year's theme will be: Greening the Blue, emphasizing the importance of environmental sustainability.
We want everyone to participate during the first and second breaks by engaging in activities in front of Joffrey's the team will organize. The dress code will be to either wear blue or green or to wear their country's jersey or flags. We insist the student body and faculty participate and enjoy this day with us.

We've had so many talented speakers showcase their skills over the past few weeks, but now it's time to let them share their ideas with the community.
Tickets for TEDxYouth@DhahranHighSchool are now on sale! But you have to act fast, because there are only 52 TICKETS available for DHS and it's first come first serve. Tickets cost 100SR per person and you can buy them from Ms. Vanessa in the B-building. Sales end on October 25, 2018.

Do you have an amazing hidden talent you've never shown before? Can you sing, drum, dance, rap, do magic tricks, beat-box, play an instrument, or do anything else?
If so, get ready to sign up for the biggest, oldest, and most popular student event in DHS student history; the annual NHS Talent Show, run by the one and only National Honor Society. Auditions will take place after school on Nov. 14th and 15th. Rehearsals will then be held on Nov. 19th and 20th. If you audition, you will most likely have a chance to get in, as we have a very lenient screening process. The actual date of the show will be on the evening of Nov. 21st, 2018.

AP Students - Please bring your AP exam payment to Ms. Vanessa at the B-Building Accounting Office by Oct. 25. You should have received a paper copy of the payment form in class, and you also received an email with the AP exam payment information and the payment form. See Ms. Bearns in the IB/AP office with any questions.
Attention: DHS Students taking ACT Exam
ACT (Computer-Based Testing) will be administered on Saturday, October 27th.
Reminder: Students taking the ACT are reminded to bring the current official photo ID (Original Saudi Iqama, Original Saudi Driving license, School ID and Original passport only) and/or ACT Student Identification Form in order to be admitted.
Note: Examinee's first and last names must match the roster.
On Saturday, Nov. 24th from 8:00 am to 1:00 pm, the DHAMUN team will be conducting annual MINIMUN, a simulation of an MUN conference.
MINIMUN will be held in the auditorium, side room and the mini theater. There will be three committees running: General Assembly 1, General Assembly 2, & Arab League.
MINIMUN is, essentially, an MUN conference on a smaller scale, exclusive to DHS and DBGS students. However, despite the relaxed environment, it is still mandatory to follow MUN procedure and dress appropriately in formal attire.
This conference is a great opportunity for any beginners in MUN because of support offered by the DHAMUN team and experienced, helpful chairs. It is also highly encouraged for experienced delegates to attend so that they can act as examples for the newer delegates.If you’re interested, please fill out this form by the by Oct. 28th, 2018 :
