As we come to the close of the 2020-2021 school year, we would like to reflect on the learning that has taken place since virtual school began in March 2020.
Please share your feedback with us by completing this anonymous Parent Reflection Survey by May 6, 2021. Feel free to involve your child(ren) by asking them what contributed positively to their learning in virtual school that could be continued when we return to campus. We will then use this information to incorporate the beneficial components into our on campus curriculum delivery next fall.
I am proud to inform you that our mid-term accreditation report submitted to the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) has been accepted. As you might know, MSA was founded over 125 years ago and is a worldwide leader in accreditation and school improvement. You may not be aware, however, that ISG was the first elementary school in the Middle East to be accredited by MSA back in 1981.
MSA noted that our progress in implementing our strategic plan for improvement was “very impressive, even under the challenging circumstances of COVID, changes in leadership and shifting priorities.”
Based on reports submitted from teachers, students and administrators, MSA concluded that “ISG’s culture continues to flourish with school personnel who are creative thinkers and problem solvers and who share their passion and curiosity for learning.”
I would like to extend a sincere thank you to Richard Charlesworth, Coordinator for School Improvement, who spearheaded the report and sustained momentum behind our initiatives.
Despite all the challenges of this past year, this is a testament to the excellent work that goes on day in and day out at ISG.
We thank you, our parents, for your support and contribution to enhancing learning for our students.
Dr. Michael P. Mack
